The Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of Erdem Hospital aims to correct, through the surgical operations, the body damages caused by the accidents and traumas as well as the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.

With the increase of technological resources today, particularly arthroscopic and prosthetic surgeries enhance the life quality of people.

Particularly hip and knee replacement surgeries are performed by our experienced physicians, and the patients are able to wall one day after the operations.

In the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology, diagnostic and therapeutic treatment services are provided for 7/24.

Surgeries performed through arthroscopic method

Arthroscopy is a method which ensures the examination and treatment of joints through small lacerations.

• Meniscus tears: A sudden twist or recurrent bends in knee may lead to the meniscus tears. This results in pain and swelling in knee. For the treatment, the arthroscopic repair is administrated. The meniscus is removed or stitched depending on the location of tear.
• Ligament tears: Particularly, frontal cruciate and medial collateral ligaments injuries are observed. For the treatment, the arthroscopic ligament repair is performed.
• Cartilage wear: There may be injury due to impact or aging. In some cases, a ruptured cartilage particle may travel freely within the joint. This is called "joint mouse". In the treatment, re-congestion of cartilage is ensured.
• Bankart: In cases of shoulder dislocations, the procedures of bankart repair, labial tear repair and rotator cuff repair are performed.

Hip or Knee Joint Prosthesis: .In hip and knee calcifications, prothesis, revisions and tibial osteotomy procedures are performed.

Trauma Surgery: The treatments for fractures, dislocations and muscle-tendon injuries are performed.

Spinal Surgery: The treatments for congenital or subsequent spinal lateral and frontal curvatures, osteoporosis-related bone fractures, aciddent-related spinal fractures are performed.

Pediatric Orthopedics: The treatments for congenital hip dislocations, pes equinovarus, congenital deformities, pes planus, tumors and fractures are performed.

Foot Surgery: The treatments for cronyx, toe deformities and fractures are performed.

Deformity and Short stature: Bone deformity surgeries, bone extension surgeries are performed.
